, Vid.co proudly created a series of videos for a vibrant and engaging recruitment campaign for the Country Fire Authority (CFA)
titled “Give Us a Hand”
. The video campaign, launched in August 2023, was shot and edited meticulously over a span of two months, where we handled the video production and post-production processes. Objective
The campaign objectives were aimed at bolstering volunteer recruitment for CFA, focusing on targeted areas across the state. It was intended to diversify the volunteer base by encouraging participation from women, young individuals, daytime responders such as university students and stay-at-home parents, and individuals from varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds, including recent migrants. Vid.co’s crew of 5 worked hand-in-hand with The Fuel Agency to bring the vision to life. Despite facing challenges such as a tight pre-production timeframe and having non-professional actors, our team was adept at crafting authentic scenes from scratch, showcasing our adaptability and creativity under constrained timelines. Outcome
To ensure the campaign’s broad reach and impact, we have created a diverse range of edits to suit different platforms – a 60-second version, a 30-second version, a 15-second version, and a series of 10-second versions tailored for social media with a 4:5 aspect ratio.
The campaign spots are slated to be showcased on a variety of platforms, including Broadcast Video On Demand channels, cinemas, social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, YouTube, and in doctor’s offices across the state.
