The City of Greater Bendigo has plans to give the beloved Peter Krenz Centre a much-needed upgrade – and they wanted the community to get involved! We were approached by the city for an ad campaign that encourages viewers to ‘have their say’ about what should be included in the upgraded centre.
Our concept was to feature real members of the Eaglehawk and Bendigo community speaking directly to the camera, while they were using the current facilities to keep the video authentic. Keeping it short and sharp was key to maintaining audience engagement, so we had each volunteer read one line of the script to emphasise that everyone in the community has the opportunity to have a say.
The City of Greater Bendigo was successful at gathering its data, with over 83% of people saying that the upgrades would directly benefit them or their families.
